The fitness F is of course a great reason to start F3 and sure that’s a benefit, but to me, it is so much more than an exercise group. It truly is a brotherhood that gives me a daily opportunity to share fellowship and my faith with some of the finest men I know. In good times or bad, I know that I have a long list of brothers by my side.

I came for the workout, but stayed for the brotherhood. It’s rare to find a bunch of guys who will show up in the rain, heat, and snow to not only workout, but also walk through life with. No one is left behind, but no one is expected to stay the same.

Rain or shine, hot or cold, whether you show or you don’t show, F3 is still going on at the same time and the same place every week. There are not too many things in life so dependable, which can be life saving (and at least life changing) for someone in need…Reminds me a bit of Jesus Christ.

I started F3 at 46 years old, and I could not run around the park once at Crucible without stopping. Seven months later I led a workout that ran it 8 times. That is all due to the encouragement of my F3 brothers. F3 is the epitome of “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” It’s a joy, an honor, and a blessing to be part of F3.
